Keeping it Local – Eat & Drink Norfolk

– The Norfolk County Agricultural Society is excited to announce that
“Eat & Drink Norfolk” voted as a finalist for “Best New Event” in
Ontario is back for its fifth consecutive year. Dates for this year’s
event are Friday April 11th from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm and open again on Saturday April 12th from 12 noon until 10:00 pm.
“Eat
& Drink Norfolk” provides an opportunity to come out to a relaxed
atmosphere in the AUD at the Norfolk County Fairgrounds, to mix and
mingle while sampling local products from the over 40 participating
vendors. Many well-known local restaurants, breweries, distillery and
food producers are back again while several new vendors are
participating for the first time.
Now
in its fifth year, “Eat & Drink Norfolk” has grown into the premier
spring event in Norfolk County. “Advance tickets are selling quickly.
People are excited to see what their favourite vendors will be offering
and to discover what’s new!” says Special Events Manager Chantal Zorad.
The
entertainment stage will feature local favourites the Fairly Fat Guys
who will be having fun with the audience and giving away great prizes.
Musical entertainment will feature Grey Sky performing both Friday
evening and Saturday afternoon while With the Dudes will be onstage
Saturday evening.
The ever popular silent auction will be held on both
days with many one of a kind items such as a guitar autographed by the
country act Big & Rich with Cowboy Troy as well as a Terri Clark
package which includes tickets to any one of her upcoming concerts and
the opportunity to meet Terri along with autographed merchandise.
Admission
to “Eat & Drink Norfolk” is $10. Advance tickets to this popular
event are available at the Fair Office as well as at the door. Food and
beverage tasting tokens will be available at the show for just $1 each.
Each sample at the show will cost between one and four tickets. On
Saturday between opening at noon and 3:00 pm., a special admission price
is available providing two admissions for the price of one. Must be 19
years of age and older to attend.
“Eat
& Drink Norfolk” is a perfect opportunity to enjoy the many great
food and beverage products in Norfolk County, all in one location, in a
casual relaxed atmosphere. It is a fundraising initiative of the Norfolk
